::making progress....one stitch at a time...::

:: green tea & sweet beans month 5 - tulip block (hand pieced) ::

the last week or so, any crafty encounters i have had, of which there have been many, have all involved small stitches by hand, and i must say it has been very relaxing progress, slow, but progress all the same. i am feeling suitably chuffed with my handiwork so far and thought i'd best share some crafty bits with you (or you might just think i've lost migt crafty mojo... again) even though none of it is finished except for the first of the two tulip blocks required as part of month 5's blocks...the second one is still a work in progress:

i'm getting there...promise...

i have also be working on some christmassy cross stitch which is destined to be gifted, can you tell what it will be?:

there's also been time for stitches of the hooky nature and my scallop baby blankey is coming along beautifully:

in fact, there is actually some chance this may be completed in record time for me!

hopefully by the time i pop back next, i might just have some completed slow-stitching works to show you.

See you soon,

Tam xo

::happy things::

::little stitches make me happy::

The other night at Perle8's Christie was working on a beautiful cross stitch project from this lovely book: Made in France: Cross-stitch and Embroidery in Red, White and Blue. Seeing her stitch away reminded me of a time many years ago when I cross stitched, in fact, I think it was the first craft I taught myself as a teenager.

So, armed with enthusiasm to search for things from what seems like another lifetime ago I went hunting...hunting for the first cross stitch that I ever started but never finished, and, guess what? I found it! Look at all those little stitches:

So now I'm going to finish it, there's not much to go, I'm not sure why I never finished it in the first place...but little stitches make me happy at the moment and I want this little Bunnykins cross stitch piece to finsh its journey now, and I think that will make me extra happy!

Pip's talking about happy things on her happy blog...go and check it out, it'll make you smile.

Have a happy day.
